Stylenspire: spring pursuits

Just as I have broken free of the winter vortex I got sucked into, I get sprung into a deluge of spring pursuits. In a good way though. The frost is gone and the air is lighter, the warmth of the sun has lost its cold glare and the rain has come. All wonderful changes that usher in the Spring season and a long list of to-do, the biggest part being a new move for me.
I am sad I have been unable to blog for a while, yet joyful because there is newness all around me with lots to accomplish. While the Creator reveals His glory with this budding season - both in my life and in nature, I spring forth into all the promises it holds and the fulfillment He'll give.
My pursuit of fruitful finds may keep me away from blogging much this season, but I will look forward to when I am settled and able to share the joys of style art with you again.
I am so grateful that God "sends the rains in their proper season - the early rains and the late rains - so we can each bring in harvests" of the abundance of His Beautiful Grace". "For He is about to do something new. It begins to happen even now. Do you not percieve it?"

Stylenspiration: 2013 NYEnspire

For us ladies, decorum in our dressing is a physical translation of an inner understanding of the treasure that we are. Our ability to be gorgeous does not hail from pawning the gift that we are and this idiom for me, is translated in today's outfit. I feel joyously gorgeous and confident in my femininity in this outfit. A stylish way to usher in a new year too.
2013 has been the most challenging year of life! Emotionally, physically, financially, relationally and above all these, spiritually challenging. At a point when I felt like my life has been reduced to nothing-ness, God continually asked for my all in my nothings. I reached a point when my prayer became "no more" but God simply did not give up on me.
In retrospect, I know there has been a supreme purpose to each challenge and surrender, even though I still lack understanding for the need to have had some of these experiences. Yet my complete existence remains in His Will, under His Sovereign Grace. This truth allows me to rejoice in Him, for each challenge that did not triumph over me in 2013.
I know some of you are also journeying through God's valley of promises. I pray that in 2014, we will each successfully arrive at our very own mountain top of fulfillment. "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are YES in Christ Jesus. And so through Him, the AMEN is spoken by us to the glory of God the Father." 2CORINTHIANS 1:20

Stylenspire: a first for me

It was a beautiful Sunday here on my end. Visited a new Church & quite enjoyed it.

My purse is a Rebecca Minkoff  Mini Flirty that I got from my favorite store TJ Maxx. It came with a long tassel on the zipper that I was not too crazy about, so I simply cut it to my preferred length. See before pics below.

While I was out & about, I got my very first street style picture request. Although I would normally be wary, the lady did ask very nicely & was friendly to speak with. She wanted to know the details of how I put my outfit together, & once she asked that ........ say no more. I also got her to take the pictures below for me.
This skirt I am wearing is one of my custom designs. I've had the fabric for a while; being able to design & make my own clothes lets me create & recreate my clothes into newer designs as time goes on.

I was running late this morning getting ready for Church & did not want to bother with my hair, so I looked for something to cover it with. The head wrap is a mesh fabric from JoAnn in blue. In a moment of sylenspiration, I wrapped it around my head & it worked so off I went to worship.
